Where to go??

I am trying to book a Christmas vacation for my two sons ages 16 & 7 and myself, single mom 33. I've been looking at Jamaica Sunset Beach Resort in Montego Bay with the water park, Cozumel, or St. John. Where can I take them that has good beaches, an overall good resort, and a place where they won't get too bored? I would consider other destinations in the carribean...just not Aruba, St. Thomas, Turks and Caicos, or Riviera Maya, as we have already been to those places and want to try some place new. Thanks!!

How about Atlantis, Paradise Island? Perfect for teenagers, althoughI don't know about the weather at Christmas.

grand cayman would be a lot like provo. flat scrubby, outstanding snorkel/dive.
st. john is lush and hilly. pretty quiet island. has great snorkel/dive.
barbados has lots going on to keep kids entertained and nice beaches.
my first thought was the occidental grand connected to xcaret but you said no riviera maya...
would you consider a cruise? there are some fantastic deals for xmas cruises now. different beaches every day & lots to do on board. kids love ships - i think because they can be fairly independent. you might look at cruises going from san juan - they seem to go further south, a few even go from st. thomas.

Out of the places they have been, which did they enjoy the most?

Look online for special deals that reflect current conditions.Lots of properties that formerly would have had minimum stays are relaxing those. In St Maarten the brand new Westin is offering very reasonable rates, and its easy to fly there. Or one of the places on Orient Beach. There are great activities for teens all over the island like windkiting, the big zipline at Loterie Farm, plus snorkling, snuba, and just beach-hanging.

They really enjoyed Mexico cause of the excursions, Turks and Caicos for the beaches...They always enjoy the places we go cause I work a lot so time spent away is a plus! They do like to snorkel, like a resort with a good pool as they tend to get tired of the beach all the time, although I could lay there all day! We like to venture of if the island offers excursions, and we like trying new restaraunts. A little of everything. Mostly want nice weather and beaches.

Grand Cayman might be a good option. Seven Mile beach is gorgeous, plenty of watersports available, amazing diving & snorkeling, tons of great restaurants, and the island itself is very safe.
