What do you do with your stuff at the beach?

My sister and I will be traveling to Anguilla in Feb. We have rented a car and plan on beach hopping. What do you do with your stuff while you are swimming/snorkeling? Cash, credit cards, car keys, room key? Do you somehow carry it with you while swimming? How safe to you feel leaving your stuff on the beach? Obviously don't leave cash lying out in the open. But, hmmm... Any comments, thoughts, responses are welcome either general and/or specific to Anguilla.

Before you leave purchase a waterproof wallet case for around your neck. It is a small plastic case that seals tight. Large enough to hold credit cards $ keys ect. very inexpensive, well worth the peace of mind. Not a problem when snorkeling either.

I just ordered a waterproof fanny pack from snorkelcity.com It looks like a fanny pack, but inside it looks like a zip lock bag type interior. You are supposed to be able to snorkel wearing it. I bought it for Hawaii for the same reasons as you! I think it was around 22-23 dollars. I ordered it and received it within a couple of days.

Yeah, waterproof wallet is the way to go. My husband wears the string around his neck. The case is very thin, doesn't bother him. Holds money, credit cards, key, driver's license. Never leave anything on the beach, even "hidden" under towels or deep in your tote. Or camera either. You can come back another day and take pics
