Were to go?????
My husband and I are planning a belated honeymoon in the Caribbean Islands. We want to go somewhere with white sand beaches, snorkeling, flyfishing, ziplining etc. Just don't know where to go. Need your help! Thanks

what tpayt said.
plus flyfishing in the islands means bonefishing which happens on flat arid islands like turks & caicos or bahamas while zipling is done on lush hillier islands like jamaica or st. lucia so you'll have to prioritize.
if a variety of activities off the beach is what you're seeking maybe jamaica or maya riviera, mex.

You'll find bone/fly fishing and zip lining in the Mayan Rivera of Mexico.
The Secerts and Iberostars resorts get great reviews.

We are traveling from Bozeman, MT. Will have about 6 nights to stay. Budget is not too big of an issue. Up to 250 per night is okay as long as we can stay around the $3000 range including airfair if possible. Not including food or anything though. Flyfishing is a must. My husband is an outfitter here in Montana so we can't skip that. Thanks everyone.

do try to get a full week. travel takes alot of time and most resorts would like to book you for a week, with many offering 7th night free.
belize is almost 24hr flights. provo is high price air & 18 hrs. you could get to ft. lauderdale in 7hrs but then add'l time to get out to bahamas.
so i think kvr's suggestion of mex is a great one.
you can fly in 7 1/4hrs for a bit over $600/pp. thru denver using a combo of united, frontier & usair by united. lv bozeman at 7:35am - ar cancun 3:47pm. dep cancun 4:45pm - ar bozeman 10:59pm. i'd ask a travel agent to book the flights or go to kayak.com where i found above info using dates in sept. and link to orbitz of one of the other options.
i think the bonefishing is in the sian ka'an biosphere just south of tulum (pls correct me, kvr if you know of other spots) so i'd look for a place fairly far south of cancun. if you would like to try an all inclusive you'll find plenty in the $250 range. as you've budgeted extra for food & fun you could still go out to a few restaurants.
i personally like the area around akumal as it's not too busy. i believe kvr likes playa del carman area because it is busier. if you want to leave resort at night to go to clubs you def want to be near playa.
look at locogringo.com for tons of info on everything you need to know about visiting this area. has great maps and and an aerial view section so you can see the area you're thinking of staying in.
besides zips & fishing there are ruins, atv jungle rides, horseback, cenotes & caves to explore, etc.

I just plugged in some dates for travel between Bozeman and Belize City. Cost was about US$725.00 and you can get between the two in a little over nine hours. At least in high season.
In Belize, I understand the best fly fishing is in the south around Placencia. The sand really isn't white though.
Here on Ambergris, the sand is white, the water is blue, but the beaches aren't truly great. People do fly fish here, but I understand the fish are harder to catch. My husband saw bone fish just this morning while walking along the beach.

Echoing virginia's comments regarding bone fishing. Bahamas are the place for that and you'll also get the white, sandy beaches with clear, turquoise waters just like the post cards.
Check out www.bahamas.com to see what may work for you. It's a *gorgeous* string of islands with friendly locals, good food and the most beautiful beaches in the world.
