We're on our way! Turks & Caicos
I was somewhat bummed out because I thought we were going to have to skip our annual March vacation to the Caribbean. 401k was down(as was everyone else), economy was looking grim, and we spent too much in Paris in Sept.
Well, we couldn't take winter anymore. We booked "Ocean Club West" this morning. We went there last year, and loved it.
I'm officially on a diet and my husband is polishing up his golf clubs.
We had some great dinners there last year, but if any of you would like to tell us your favorites, we'd love some new ideas.
We leave Feb.28th, so we have time to plan.
It's only money, and I'll cut coupons for groceries, etc.
I'm sure there are alot of you out there who just can't live without travel. We're with you.

blamona---if you're there when we are, we'll buy you a drink!
The restaurants we went to last year were:
Coco Bistro
Coyaba
Hemingway's
Magnolia
Calico Jacks
Seaside Cafe(OCWest)
The Grill(Grace Bay Club)
Any comments about favorite restaurants would be much appreciated.

I am still here, go back to States on Wed.
Lemon is a new Morracan restaurant.
My favs are Coco Bistro and Yoshi (Japanese! and I don't even like sushi ;-)) I also love O'Soliel-especially the tapas at Fri 7-10 happy hour with excellent singers.
I also like Coyaba, Grace's Cottage and Hemmingways for dinners.
At Magnolia's I make a meal out of appt, the entrees aren't as good as they are.
My husband likes Mango Reef. Atlantic Bar & Grill is good and pleasant.
I love breakfast at Bay Bistro, just the view sets your day.
I love evening drinks at Anocoana, setting is unreal, but ultra expensive.
My favorite lunch is LunaSea at Somerset, best food. If Joseph is working, ask if he's willing to make satay chicken with peanut sauce-Yum!
For nightlife, Nikki beach doesn't have people at the bar until around 11, on Fri and Sat nights.
Check out www.TCIenews.com every Wed. for weekly specials. There is a French/Canadian singing couple, they sing at Da conch Shack Thursday nights, O'Soliel on Fri. nights, and Tiki hut on Sun. nights. We've sort of become groupies, they are so awesome. Do not miss them!!!!! I cannot discribe how awesome the ambience is with them.
If full moon, don't miss the bonfires on the beach at Horse Eyed Jacks and Bay Bistro.

Have fun and post a trip report when you get back so I can live vicariously through you! This cold weather is getting to me.
When we went to T and C we loved the Conch Shack. It's a really small casual open air place but the grilled conch in a coconut sauce was fantastic.
