Wedding - Cap Jaluca or elsewhere?
Need a quiet elegant resort that will make all the arrangements for a wedding. Thought maybe Cap Jaluca. Does anybody know if they do that sort of thing or can anybody recommend one that does. I'm not really interested in a "cookie cutter all inclusive" resort though. Thanks for the help.
Hi Julie. I can tell you that Cap does do that sort of thing as I have arranged my own wedding there for this November. They have a wedding coordinator that works for the resort and she will arrange everything. You can communicate through email if phone calls (cost) are a problem. They have preset wedding packages or you can pick from whole list of items a la carte. It can be as elaborate or a simple as you choose and at the location of your choosing. I think the planner is on vacation until 9/27 (the resort is closed right now) Hope this helps!

Goldie, you made a wonderful choice. Just wondering, as I am planning a trip for November, when is the wedding? One May, a few years ago, the bride and guests were at the hotel, as a matter of fact they were all over the island. Blanchards catered it at the empty Coccoloba, and the rehersal dinner was at the Blanchards. They even wrote about it in their book. The guests had beach hats and beach bags with the bride and grooms initials, date, embossed with bare feet. The bride and party posed some shots on the beach. Anyhow, even though it was a large group it never interferred with the non guests. So large or small, it is still very personal. The gazebo area at the west end of the beach is very private. Maybe I will get a peak!
Julie, Caneel Bay, Jalousie Hilton, Sandy Lane, Jumby Bay,Four Seasons Nevis, are some that come to mind. All are beautiful settings. Weddings are a big part of the island business. Lots of others too. It really depends on your budget, travel, number of guests etc.
