Weather report in Nassau

We are going to Nassau this week, I looked on weather.com for the forcast and it is saying thunderstorms everyday. Does it usually rain all day there or does it rain for an hour and then the sun comes out?

I returned yesterday from one week's stay in Nassau. The weather was a little different every day. Some mornings were clear til around 11am, and then got cloudy, and then rained for 10-15 minutes in the afternoon. Wednesday morning it poured for 2 hours, and then was overcast the rest of the day. Some thunderstorms at night. Saturday was sunny all day.

we just returned last night from 4 nights
stay at the Radisson Cable Beach..I too
checked weather reports before we left and
had I not known The Bahamas weather we'd
have stayed home..I wouldn't worry about the weather..even the weather channel everyday was saying rain, showers, thunderstorms, etc..It poured the day we
arrived (Saturday the 7th)..after we'd
spent a few hours on the beach..it rained Tuesday afternoon for a couple
hours..then cleared up beautifully..bottom line is..don't worry
about the weather forecasts and enjoy
yourselves!

We are going to PI on Tuesday for a week and I am concerned about the weather since the outlook for the enxt 5 days is thunderstorms. Jim, if it rains for a couple of hours only when they forecast thunderstorms, what indoor activities are there to do, especially since we have 3 kids the oldest of whom is 12? We are staying at the Comfort Suites with access to Atlantis. Thanks

Well..I'm not sure what indoor activities
they'd have at the Comfort Suites. At the
Radisson there's a shopping "mall" between
the Radisson and Wyndham and there's a casino..a lot of folks seem to head there,
or to the indoor bars. A lot of people seemed to stay outside at the beach side
bar. I wound up hopping a bus into Nassau to find some meds for my wife as
she somehow hurt her back.

Maybe there's a game room?

Sorry I can't be of more help there!
