"We won´t return to The Bahamas"

Bad attitudes, high prices and poor service have prompted tourists to say they will never come back to The Bahamas, the official National Tourism Quality Assurance Survey has revealed. I asked Ministry of Tourism but I never got an answer. Who can help?

This is a duplicate post from about three months ago. Sounds like someone has a vendetta.

Mike, or Harald, or whoever:

Get a life and let this one go. Over 500,000 tourists go to the Bahamas every year. There are more than 700 islands in the Bahamas chain and each one is different. Actually only a few even have people living on them.

For some reason you always post negative things, I have yet to see you post ANYTHING about ANY ISLAND in a positive way.

Since you obviously don't really travel what are you really adding to this board?

The people who come here want information and ask questions about vacations want to spend their money wisely. If you can't help honestly answering their questions, without a personal vendetta, stop obsessing and find more creative and positive things to do with your life and stop hassleing this board and all the people who post here.

Yes, and I now avoid both like the plague.
The Bahamas' best attributes are not found in Freeport or Nassau.
In fact F and N give the Bahamas a bad name IMO.
The out islands are wonderful.
F and N are like Harlem in the Caribbean. Yuck. Not on vacation please.

Kelli; what is it that you would like to do if vacationing to either Freeport or Nassau? Maybe we could help you out if we knew your interests: scuba? snorkeling? Beaches? Island exploring with rental car? laid-back or touristry places? nature hikes? outback type country? etc. Grand Bahama and Nassau differ considerably. Robert

I don't know who this Carla person is but she couldn't be more incorrect, imho. I haven't been to New Providence since '98 but have been there several times and go to GBI every year. I prefer GBI because it has some tourist attractions, golf courses, and a casino, plus it is more laid back than Nassau and a bit less expensive. Nassau (on New Providence) has much more in the way of tourist attractions, history, cultural events and places, etc. It is also much more hectic and crowded, but that's what happens when a place is the center of its country. It also has Atlantis. I'm no fan but it can't be disputed that the place is awesome. I'll leave others to discuss it. The Out or Family Islands are great, but expect few to no amenities and very few attractions other than the beaches and fishing. They are attractive to folks who want to spend their time on the beach and experience it in quiet solitude. That appeals very much to some people and if it's what you want go for it.

Danny
