Virgin Gorda Honeymoon Must Dos
Hi,
This is the first time I've posted and I was hoping that all of you more experienced caribbean travelers could offer me some suggestions for my May honeymoon in Virgin Gorda.
We are staying at Little Dix Bay and have never been to Virgin Gorda or any BVIs. Any suggestions of things to do, places to eat, snorkeling locations etc?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Rent a car from Mahogany rentals for a few days and get off property for snorkel trips: Savanah bay, mahoe bay, valley trunk bay. I think LDB has a beach trip to Spring Bay (we saw several people do that when we were at Guavaberry), and that seemed like fun. Go to the Baths early or late in the day.
Have a blast!

If I had a week long honeymoon on VG, I would definitely rent a car a few days, and on one of those days I'd drive down to the Baths nice and early to avoid crowds. I'd also want to try a day trip to Anegada by plane for snorkeling and a lobster lunch, and I would want to do a daysail/snorkel that involved Norman Island or the Indians, or Fallen Jerusalem & the Dogs.
Hope you have a wonderful time! VG is an island I'd like to get to know better.

Hey-
You are going to love Little Dix Bay, my wife and I went there last June for our honeymoon and had a great time. As far as the snorkeling, just go to the dive center by the beach and you can make all your reservations there. We purchased the meal plan and thought the food very good. You can have breakfast delivered to your room or lunch on the beach. Take advantage of the spa, very scenic and its new. No major nightlife, just extremely a beautiful setting and relaxing. How many other hotels have rooms 50' from the ocean?

For your most special dinner, Giorgio's Table is probably the most romantic and handsomest spot. Excellent food and fine service. It's next to Mahoe Bay, south side. Best snorkeling for us was Mountain Trunk Bay; LD will take you there by whaler and pick you up. There are chairs and umbrellas on the good beach. The one other restaurant we thought was reliably quite good was Chez Bamboo-- in town across from the yacht basin and easy walk from LD. Thought the LD food was just fair. (Liked their afternoon tea.) Most enjoyable hiking was at Biras Creek-- great views. I've heard their dinners are very good.

Eat dinner at the Rock Cafe (lobster spaghetti) awesome! and Top of the Baths, if they dont have lobster you might want to go for just a drink. If you take a taxi (they are super cheap there) call African Pride, Shawn or Kumba will pick you up. They are great. Dont use Peoples taxi the guy was horrible and would not leave us alone. We LOVE virgin gorda, little dix is great. You will have a fantastic time!

You will love Virgin Gorda and Little Dix Bay - we were there two years ago...we found this great place to walk to breakfast- go out the main entrance-turn left- part of a motel-looks a little shaky- but has a beautiful spot for breakfast-right on the water!! I believe the name has cove in it? We only ate one breakfast at the resort -at that time only buffet available and very pricey!! We ventured off the resort for all meals-loved Georgio's Table- ate there twice during our stay-beautiful setting!!
For snorkeling the Baths are the place- but go early or later in the day- to beat all the other boat traffic!!
Have a great time! Susan
