Bill, if we're talking about the same one, I thought that rock looked a whale! Was it you who was asking me to report back on Open Deck? If so, did you get all the info you were looking for?

Cawhite, we didn't go in Grandma's Kitchen, I just took a photo cause I thought it was so cute from the outside. There wasn't enough time to eat everywhere we wanted to.

Joan you and Don really must go. It's the experience of a lifetime. I'm so grateful we had the opportunity to do it.

Yes Maggi, that's the one, but I still think it looks like the head of a sea serpent, but I spend my days with 7 year olds! LOL

My big question about the house was the privacy issue and from the pictures it looks like that was not a problem. The area looks lovely and lush.

I LOVE your pics. Thanks so much for posting them!!
I have a question about your beach chairs. Were those yours? If so, what kind are they? I'm looking for light portable beach chairs. I got some suggestions from several people here but I still found them not light enough.
Thanks.

Bill: Yes, it was very lush. The grounds of all the villas were well maintained by a team of gardeners. Although we had not a drop of rain the island was very green, which means they must have had quite of precipitation prior to our trip. I was expecting an "arid" landscape!

Caribtraveler, those chairs belonged to the villa. They were very light and easy to take along, but I don't know what kind they were. You don't mean you would buy them and bring them with you? Surely you can find them on VG, or at least on Tortola, if your accomodations don't already have them.

Thanks. No it's not for a trip to VG. It's for our upcoming trip to Eleuthera.

Maggi / Bill,

Speaking of the various rock shapes at the Baths, have you seen this map?

http://www.thebathsbvi.com/map.htm

According to this, there's a whale's head, a lion's head, and an Ethopian head.

Cawhite, I wish I had seen that before our trip. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi all - the beach chairs are supplied with the villas at Mahoe and the greenery at Mahoe is due to the constant irrigation systmes we have at each villa - cheers Brian

The upkeep of the villas and the surrounding gardens at Mahoe was absolutely awesome! We had a pool light go out and it was replaced while we were gone for two hours.
