Turks & Caicos or Grenada- Hotel Recommendations
We are planning a 25th anniversary trip for end of April 2013. We were leaning toward Grenada (Coyaba Beach Resort) but are now also considering T&C. The resorts that seem within our price range on T&C are The Sands at Grace Bay and the Royal West Indies. Our budget for air/hotel is around $4,500 for 7-8 nights (from Atlanta), we could stretch it a bit more, but would like to stay pretty close to that range. We would like a good ocean view or ocean front, if possible. We enjoy nice beaches, friendly locals, and a safe environment. Any input / recommendations on which way to go would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

the 2 are so very different.
provo: flat, arid, stunning 11 mile long grace bay beach, gorgeous tourquoise water, good snorkeling, excellent diving, good dining.
grenada is hilly, more lush, has much shorter beaches with bluer water but many are palm lined, not known for snorkeling/diving.
both are safe & friendly.

We just got back from Grenada and LOVED IT! It's SO different. The food. The people. Now, it's for those that want a "true" Caribbean experience. It's not a very developed island, and that's part of it's charm. Maybe check out La Luna, Maca Bana, or hell, go for it all and look at Spice Island Resort. You'd be rewarded with a "once in a life time" experience.

Have had the benefit of visiting both, and think that virginia is dead on:

Only other thing I'd add is that Grenada's tourism is not necessarily as developed at Turks & Caicos' so you'd find some more authentic Caribbean experiences there - but the many shades of turquoise of Turks & Caicos' waters, as well as the diversification of different vacation experiences you can have (in and amongst the many islands here such as Grand Turk, North Caicos, Middle Caicos, etc) is very hard to beat!
