Turks and Caicos - Cooper jack bay

Cooper Jack Bay = thoughts for a vacation rental. Is the area prone to biting bugs?

How is provisioning? Are grocers well stocked with good protiens and fruits and veggie?
Are there any fishmongers or farmers markets to make a few gourmet meals at home?

Favorite conch fritters?

Favourite charter company for a half day tour

For me, Cooper Jack is not the best area to stay, it's a big pond and residential, doesn't feel very beachy.

Supermarkets have everything you want and need, including free range, organic, etc

No real farmers market as dry scrubby island, most things have to be imported in

Expensive island though! Food is a small fortune

Conch fritters, Da Conch Shack, Bugaloos

Excursions: Island Vibes or Caicos Dream Tours. You can also ferry to North, rent car and drive to Middle Caicos which is spectacular

When are you going? If soon, a lot is shut down sept- oct

Thank you blamona,

We are good with an exceptional and fairly priced villa in Cooper Jack with a killer view and private pool. Don't mind traveling to the beachy places. I am liking the idea of taking a ferry to North and Middle to explore for a day.

Do you have any rental car deals from experience? Grace Bay Car Rentals was suggested to us. We are good with economy rental unless you have reason to suggest an SUV

Thanks again

Thanks for your help blamona.

We LOVED our villa in Cooper Jack Bay and highly recommend it for privacy and off the beaten path. Sunsets and swimming and grilling trumped dinner out every night. We did manage some nice lunches out.
