Early June in T & C
We are planning to go to Turks & Caicos the first week of June. Not that weather is predictable, but would this be a good time to go? We were planning on late May, but for other reasons, can't go until early June. Also are we better off staying in a private apartment a block off the beach, or in a resort on the beach? Any suggestions? We definitely will stay on Grace Bay.
Thanks for any info.

Hi Blamona:
Two of us are travelling (me and hub). We're not on a super-budget i.e.,Motel 6), but don't want to spend hundreds per night if we don't have to. I was looking at the Alexandra, resort-wise, and Grace Bay Place, non-resort wise. Not looking for activity this vacation, definitely want to relax as we are both beach lovers. Foodies, yes! Don't mind renting a car if we need one, is there much to explore? It sounds so beautiful!

grace bay beach is one of the most beautiful on earth - water color is amazing. stay beachfront if at all possible.
you should get a car for at least a day or 2.
blamona will give you the most up to date advice on dining.
go to grace bay club for an expensive cocktail at their infinity bar - it's worth it! http://www.gracebayresorts.com/asset...x-infiniti.jpg

The Alexandra Resort is definitely the way to go! I have stayed there a couple times and always have a wonderful time.
They are right on Grace Bay which is the ideal location because there are so many restaurants and other hotels that you can walk to. The resort is up to date and offers great water sport activities!
Check out Caicos dream Tours also if you want to explore more of the island. I also rented a car while i was there to be able to get the full island experience.
Enjoy TCI your going to fall in love!

SaraFmiami, thanks so much for the info on the Alexandra - which building would you recommend - I know the Lady Rose is the one with ocean fronts and Marilyn and Prima Donna have Ocean views, and I think are set a bit further back. Any insight would be so appreciated. I am loving it already and haven't even been there yet!
