Turks and Caicos Accomodations

Hi again - need some advice on where to get married and honeymoon. Three choices: Coral Gardens, Ocean Club or Le Vele - which I can't find much info on. Any advice on T & C would be wonderful. We are going in May!
Thanks & happy holidays!

checkout www.provo.com and have a wonderful time. It's one of mine and my wife's favorite places on earth. & miles of white sand beach and the most turquoise water you'll ever see.

Have been to Provo 17 times and stayed at Coral Gardens the last 11. Also stayed at Ocean Club (Too close to Club Med.) Checked the Le Vele web site and not much info. Assume construction is complete It is between The Mansions and Point Grace. It may well be it is like Mansions where a lot of local lawyers and accountants bought and live there so not many units is the rental pool. Coral gardens has several things going for it--All suites have beach/ocean views, only place the reef comes close enough to snorkel off the beach and in our opinion the dinner restaurant Coyaba is the best on the island. A good source for Provo info is www.wherewhenhow.com the on line magazine of the Turks and Caicos. You might also check out www.niladestinations.com and ask them about weddings. have some Coral gardens info I would be gald to share if you select [email protected]

katie, Congratulations! howard gives excellent advice about provo. coral gardens is lovely and well located. and i think beatrice at niladestinations could help you alot. she is very nice. also there is a provo.com but provo.net is a better site in my opinion. will it be just the 2 of you or will you be taking a group? i ask only as coral gardens is not cheap. and as provo is a small island it occurs to me that people could stay one place and attend the wedding anywhere on island.also there are alot of houses for rent on island if you wanted to condider that for the honeymoon portion of your trip. very private but of course nobody to wait on you...

A big thank you for everyone's reply! Howard and Virginia - We are in our mid 30's and do not know how many will join us. We love the fact that if we stay at Coral Gardens or Le Vele others can stay at less expensive places and be part of it! Is it right that all places are walking distance on the beach? How is the construction noise?

Thanks again & Happy New Years!

Katie

Not really right that all places are within walking distance on the beach. Grace Bay Beach where the resorts are is about 7 miles long so it is a long walk between some resorts. From LeVele to Coral Gardens is at least 1 1/2 miles. Not a lot of construction around LeVele or Coral Gardens. If you are going to have other people jion you for your wedding I would probably opt for Coral Gardens. Right behind it is The Seagate (www.theseagate.com) which has two and three bedroom suites with kitchens and is cheaper then Coral Gardens if several couples share the expense and about a fifteen minute walk down the beach is Villa Oasis (www.villaoasis.com) which has one four bedroom suite and one two bedroon suite so you could sleep about 10 people and not break anyones bank.. It is between Coral Gardens and Beaches Feel free to e-mail me with questions.

Hi - This is for Howard - what a wealth of knowledge you have about T & C. Thank you!!! What do you think of Ocean Club West? We want to get married in May but can't afford 10 nights at Coral Gardens so we were going to split it 3 somewhere else. Any suggestions?

Thank you!!!!
