Traveling to BVI in April - my passport is expiring in MAY

I need to go to Virgin Gorda in April. My Passport will expire more than a month later in May, will I have a problem? I keep hearing conflicting reports. Does anyone no for certain?

If I were you I would just renew my passport NOW. Why even let there be a chance of a problem. Some countries (although I don't know if the BVI are one) require that your passport be valid for at least six months after your arrival.
DO IT NOW!

You should be good, but I also recommend that you just go ahead and renew it. You should have enough time to do it the regular mail way still.

thanks, I was just concerned. I have already spent a small fortune, and wasn't aware of the 6 month request by some countries..trying to figure in all the last minute expenses...not trying to be stupid..

Also, passport prices are increasing....going up $35.00. Initial passport book: going from $100. to $135.00 and renewals from $75.00 to $110.00. No date announced just that an increase is coming soon.

According to the BVI Immigration Department (284) 494-3701. Passports need to valid for the duration of your stay.

I'd still just go ahead and renew your passport. All it takes is one over zealous ticket agent at an airport and you won't be allowed to board. It's just not worth taking the chance on missing your trip.

I would renew too. I had ticket agent almost not let me board way back when passports weren't even required to go to St. John. Better to be safe than sorry!
