Things to do in Aruba in April
I need some ideas. We are going to Aruba in April and is staying at the Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino. We're hoping to have some relax time but hoping to do some sightseeing too. It’s our first trip there and want to make the most of our week there. Any suggestions on places that is a must see while there? We like restaurants suggestions that we should try prefer locals so we can taste the culture? Beaches we can't miss and things to do? Beast snorkeling places to check out? Anything else that we should do to make this a successful one.

Definitely see the the other, rugged side of the island via either a 4 wheel driev or ATV tour. And do the MiDushi or Jolly PIrates snorkeling trip. You get to snorkel the Antilla wreck and they ahve a fun rope swing. They also serve a really good lunch and drinks. At night, The Kukuoo Kunuku party bus is a blast for all ages.

Have a great trip! I would def. go to GASPARITO's for dinner! Wacky Wahoo awesome fish... Take a tour... check out the National Park (Caves, Dunes) and also make sure to check out BABY BEACH! You can do Jolly Pirates also or Tranquilo trip...
We love to snorkle at Baby Beach, passed the opening, but we always take something to help us float.. sometimes it can get rough, but it's gorgeous out there... but just to be safe, next time I will have a vest on since they have those now...
Like I said, Gasparito is nice to eat.. Keshi Yena is awesome.. Wacky has great fish... not too many local local places around... I like to eat some Dutch chicken sate at The Plaza downtown near your hotel, you can just easily walk to the Conference Center area...The Plaza...great coffee also.. and desserts... there is a place called PASTECHI HOUSE downtown in the main street.. try it.. Pastechi is a popular item in Aruba to eat.. like an empanada type thing...
Other good restaurants include Madam Jeanette, Chalet Suisse.. TATTOO party boat has the rope swing.. you get food, it's fun.. we do that also.. you can also dance..
Check out Fort Zoutman since you're staying downtown also.. it's a museum, and on Tuesdays they have the Bon Bini Festival.. local food, arts, and music/dance.. then you get the real taste of the culture.. There is also a numusmatic museum behind Royal Plaza with old Aruban coins, etc.
If you like pizza, go to Little Ceasars in front of Royal Plaza (you can walk from your hotel), the pizza there is a LOT better than LC in the US and you can sit outside with aview of the harbor... I would not go to eat at Don Carlo's I wasn't impressed with the food, they are located in front of the Renaissance...
Have fun!

Tiav - I hope you enjoy Aruba as much as we did. Caribbean Chick beat me to the punch on the Gasparito recommendation. It's one of my all time favorites. Do sit inside and enjoy their art.
Take an island tour and see the collapsed natural bridge and the goldmine.
Visit Eagle beach around Manchebo and Bucuti for a wide gorgeous uncrowded beach.
Take notes for a trip report for when you get back.

Aruba is our favorite island in the Caribbean. We have been there almost every year since 1997 and seem to never get enough of the happy island. If you like seafood you shoul visit The Buccaneer. It's dutch combined with local cuisine!
Visit Baby beach for great relaxation time. Since you're staying at the Renaissance you can also use their private island. And if you like a little of adventure on your vacation, be sure to arrange a horseback riding tour with El Paseo Ranch Aruba.
