Although I might be able to get down on that towel in the sand...getting UP is another matter ;-) And although there might be men willing to help the young, lithe women, those of us past a certain age, are left to our own devices

Great thread! Unfortunately, I have to depart it now as we leave in about 6 hours for the airport and a painful 2 weeks of fighting folks for beach loungers in the BVIs! oh... woe is us....!!

actually vivvi if you checked into a private villa rental you'd have your own chair by your own pool for less than a resort in most cases. Things you will lack are all the resort amenites, onsite restaurants, bars, room service, other services. It depends on what is important to you, if lounge by pool rent a villa if full resort services then get up 3 put your book there then go back to sleep....unreal people even have to deal with that....never have I.
