Two years ago I took all my kids and grandkids on a cruise to the Bahamas. it was fun for all of us and had activities to suit everyone. When we got to the Bahamas there were many fun shore excursions. The best part was that we paid 250 for adults and 50 for kids. (There were 14 of us and we all shared rooms).

I think it may be cost effective to do the cruise thing. That is the probably the biggest bang for the buck at this time. A chance to visit different Islands, explore more places than being in one place for a week. Depends on the ages of your teens, there individual interests etc. Also a consideration would be PDC in Mexico. Many family type resorts there. Punta Cana has many family resorts also that are a decent value. If money is not an object that Beaches is family oriented, for instance Turks and Caicos Islands.

Hi Vic: Last January we took our three boys 18,16 and 12 on a Western Caribbean cruise. We flew to Jamaica then went to Havana Cuba, Grand Cayman, Cozumel mexico and then to Santiago de cuba. As you can see from the ports our children were able to see differently cultures and lifestyles. They also loved the cruise ship and we were able to give them freedom because of the safety of them being on the ship. Our older two boys shared a room and were able to come and go. However, we let them know that if they missed up there would be 1000 people the next morning that would tell us about it! We had a wonderful time. <BR>We just got back from Punta Cana last Saturday and it would also be a nice choice. We stayed at the Occidental Flamenco, they have three pools, beautiful beach watersports ect.. Diffently more a beach , lazy vacation not as much to learn about or see. Karen
