First off-the resorts are very different and different classes of service etc. Grace Bay Club has much more luxury.
We love the Sands / Somerset area. From the Sands you can walk to Graces Cottage @ Point Grace, Bay Bistro @ Sibonne, LunSea and O'Soleil at Somerset, P23 and Plunge @ Regent Palms, and Mango Reef @ Alexandra. Grace Bay Club also has restaurants nearby but as I mentioned above the Sands area is prime IMO.

You can't compare Sands to Grace Bay Club with or without walking distance restaurants.
Is there a reason you won't rent a car? Or get a taxi? If you want walking distance, restaurants are in clumps, meaning no one resort is close to all the best restaurants.
But if you'd like to be in the middle, walking in both directions to numerous, plus supermarket and small shopping strips, check out Seven Stars.
If you want to stay put at the resort check out Veranda.
