T&C on a budget?? Help!

I'm a bridesmaid next week in a wedding in Turks and Caicos- we're staying at The Palms. Everyone else that's going is wealthy, but I will be on a tight budget. Where can I go for inexpensive breakfast, lunch, and dinner options?

Also, need ideas on where we can go to have fun at night- we're all in our early 30's.

Thanks!!

Salt Mills Cafe at the Salt Mill Plaza If you walk down the road from the Palms looking toward the beach to the right its about a 10 15 minute walk. They have great breakfast and very good lunch specials
Danny Bouys Irish pub is right next to the Salt Mills Plaza. Is a fun spot

Palms includes a huge breakfast in the rates.

My favorite other breakfast places are Bay Bistro (at Sibonne) and Hemmingways at The Sands, all walking distance.

For lunch, the fish tacos at Hemmingways are excellent, and next door to Palms, the pool bar at Somerset is one of my favorite lunch places.

Dinners: Mid range, yet excellent: Hemmingways, Bay Bistro, Magnolia's at Turtle Cove.

Less expensive: (but fun and yummy): Tiki Hut at Turtle Cove, MAgo Reef at RWI.

Expensive: (But worth the splurge):Coyaba (could be the finist in Caribbean), Grace's Cottage, Coco Bistro. Definately get drinks at Anocoana at Grace Bay Club.

Fun nights: Danny Bouys has pool tables, it's an Irish pub, next door is Bambooz, a nightclub with pool tables, karoake, dancing.

Fri nights there is dancing in the sand at Da Conch Shack until about 9. Around 10 there is a live band at Calico Jacks.

Of all places, on Sat nights, the mini golf has DJ's, karoake, and mini golf! At night it actually gets packed.

There are other misc bands around at other nights, just ask around.

What about an inexpensive place to do some snorkeling? Or maybe a boat ride around the islands?

You can snorkel for free right off the beach in front of the Coral Gardens condo's and if you have transportation at Malcolms Beach.

There are several day-sails you can do but without knowing your particular budget it's hard to say if YOU would consider them inexpensive.

for free snorkel. drive to turtle cove marina. (with less expensive tiki hut and sharkbite [good cheeseburger] restaurants - plus moderately priced aqua bar which is my fav on island) just before the marina (driving bight road from palms) is a dirt road towards the beach and 5 story yacht club bldings. go to dead end. turn left. go to dead end and into sandy area to park. walk on to beach and down approx 10mins is smith's - marked by a rock carin on the sand. go into the water carefully as there is a lot on both sides of the sandy entrance spot you can wreck. swim out to the left and you'll find a wonderful reef. or further out to the right is another reef. both are massive coral heads for you to swim around. be careful if you get over the reef it is Very shallow in some spots. we've seen some groups of rays and a turtles plus the usual fish.
coral gardens is very good. malcolms will require 4-wheel drive for the road.
for italian food i like bela luna. here's a link to some of the excursion companies: http://www.tcimall.tc/boating/
friends of mine did a trip with jb tours to middle caicos and loved it) go on a calm day though.

Go to the local IGA grocery store and stock up on a few items so you don't have to eat out all the time...!

The first two times we went to Provo were sans kids but last time we took them along. I wanted to find some less expensive places to eat because it seems they always waste food. In any case, I found a list of restaurants online that showed nightly specials for various restaurants. I specifically remember the cheapest places w/ the best specials were in Turtle Cove. One place was like $10 (very cheap for Provo) and the other had a half off night. Try to check some of the restaurants online or look in the free tourist books when you get there.

As someone also stated, you can snorkel for free right off the beach in front of Coral Gardens. It is wonderful...if you stay toward the turtle grass you have a very good chance of seeing sea turtles. An excursion is also recommended but try to make sure the seas won't be too wavy on the you go because they typically take you out farther. Enjoy...you will have a fabulous time!!!

www.wherewhenhow.tc

all the menus of all restaurants, most of the prices.

When you land, pick up the the magazine for free, including the dinning companion magazine.

Wed nights at Tiki Hut, ribs and chicken for $12.95, buckets of beer on sale too.

Other nightly specials listed at www.tcienews.com--changes Wed evenings.

Palms includes a fabulous breakfast, but you can get reasonable breakfasts at Bay Bistro (2 doors down on the beach) and Hemmingways. Hemmingways also has awesome fish tacos for lunch-reasonable and great setting. Somerset pool bar has a reasonable tasty lunch too. You can also get tasty panini sandwiches at Saltmills Cafe. (walking distance from Palms at Saltmills Plaza) Palms has full refridgerators, so IGA supermarket you can stock with some lunches, even cook dinner. (Viking appliances!) They also have prepared sandwiches, and yummy rotessorie chicken (for $8) and prepared pasta and potatoe salads.

Another trick, fill up at breakfast at Palms, and if you go out for dinner, eat before 6, you can still eat off lunch menu. Hemmingways at night, while not on menu, has fish and chips for around $11-really tasy ones I might add.

Da Conch Shack has reasonable food, as does Horse Eyed Jacks next to it-both are "beach shacks" on the beach at Blue Hills. (does require transportation)

For fun, Fri nights at Da Conch Shack-dancing in the sand. Around 10 pm, live band at Calico Jacks (walking distance to Palms.)

Sat nights you can take Gecko Shuttle to minigolf, which turns into a bar with DJ and Karoake.

You can buy a Club Med night pass-includes disco and activities.

At Saltmills Plaza, there is Bambooz-a sports bar with pool tables, karoake, djs, specials on different nights. Next to it is Danny Bouys-an Irish Pub with pool tables and drink specials. Down the street from Palms is Bonnies, a local hangout-some nights they get bands. (ask around)
