St. Thomas or Aruba?

Which do you recommend, St. Thomas or Aruba? I'm a single female, 30, travelling alone this summer. Want to relax on the beaches, water sports, good food, and some nightlife. Thanks!

Aruba is much safer for a single female.

Although I personally prefer St. Thomas due to prettier scenery and clearer water, I must agree that Aruba is a better choice for a woman traveling alone.

St. Thomas is safe enough when you're at your resort, on excursions, and so on, but finding good food and nightlife would require wandering around a bit after dark, and unfortunately STT isn't as safe as Aruba in that context.

I also would choose Aruba. Plenty of great restaurants and the public transportation is better. As said before also much safer and in my opinion better beaches.
