St.Lucia Beaches
Hi,
I am getting married at the windjammer landing the first week of December and have heard that the beach at this resort is 'under construction'. Does anyone know anything about this? Has anyone been there lately that could let me know how it looks?
Thanks!

Hi, cmw. There is a poster on this board named Starfish1 who was at the Windjammer I believe a few months ago while they were in the process of extending the beach. Prehaps Starfish will see this and respond. Congrats on your upcoming wedding. My family and I stayed at the Windjammer Feb. 2004 and loved it. It is very beatiful.

Hi cmw (and Squiggy!),
From what we saw in April, the work should have been completed by now and should be beautiful. They were shipping in white sand from Guyana so unless the weather was holding them up, I would be almost 99.9% sure that it is completed. To be on the safe side, I would email the resort and ask them if the construction on the beach is finished. Also, just so there are no 'surprises', you might want to ask if there will be any other construction going on at that time. From past experience, I have learned to ask that question wherever I go now for a holiday. Have a wonderful time!

Hi CMW,
My wife and I just stayed at the WJL in June of 2005. We stayed in a four bedroom Villa that we shared with another family. The beach wasn't under construction at that time, but we did have problems with sea urchins. Our four year old got stung on the foot and our two year old also got stung. The beach was nice and the views from the villa were awesome. However, the water wasn't as clear as some other Caribbean locations. Post your e-mail if you want to and I can send you a couple of pictures of the resort and also the beach as of June 14-21, 2005.
