St John, St Martin or ?

Looking for a new place to go in May-June Like relaxing place with snorkeling, great uncrowded beaches, little shopping, good food. Have been to st Lucia, T&C, Grand Cayman, Bahamas, not interested in Jamaica or Mexico. Anyone have a suggestion?

St John!! I think it will be much more to your liking than St. Martin. While we had fun in St. Martin, St. John is much more picturesque, less crowded (much less traffic, actually no traffic), cleaner and better beaches (and snorkeling). We are headed to St. John the last week in May. Can't wait!

Another option is Anguilla. Superb beaches, phenomenal restaurants, very laid back and uncrowded. if you are looking simply to relax, explore a little and enjoy great food, Anguilla fits the bill. No shopping and not great snorkeling though.

There is a reef at Shoal Bay where you can snorkel and you can take an excuriosn over to Prickly Pear but it really can't compare to the likes of Grand Cayman for example.

St. John is quite easy to get to. Just fly to St. Thomas and take the ferry over.

As far as places to stay, are you looking more for a hotel or villa? And how many people are traveling?

A little off topic, but I am an RN and want to relocate to 'the islands' I am considering St. John's and also HI. I have 16 yrs experience as an RN. I'm not going to get rich, just want to live the laid back island life. Any info appreciated. Thanks!

Virgin Gorda or Tortola in the BVI. There is amazing snorekling all around Virgin Gorda... we saw so much in nail bay, oil nut bay, and long bay. I FREAKING love Virgin Gorda and can't wait to go back. Little Dix is great, or if you really want to get away from the crowds you can rent a small apartment or villa. Good luck!

Another Virgin Gorda vote. But please don't tell anyone else, it's our secret.
