Sightseeing in the Caribbean

Hi,

I am going to Cuba in April and whilst I'm there thought it worth while to see something else.

I would like to travel to somewhere that I can sight see and not just has beautiful beaches.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

flight prices to HAV are best via CUN(Cancun)

might look at that hotelalcielo.com ecotulum.com xel-ha.com

cubajet.com

If you will look at a map Jamaica is Very close to Cuba

Flights go over the Giron corrider from Miami to Jamica

Have done it many times personally so that would be closest

rockhousehootel.com my fav safe for solo female.

Puerto Rico the other side of Haiti/DR pretty far away

Harder to get fliights...

Happy Travels!

www.alcielohotel.com

www.rockhousehotel.com

sorry for typos

Either would be fine for me

Jamaica more mountainous greener

Cancun/PDC/Tulum better beaches mayan ruins

So whichever u like best...

journeywoman.com great solo female site

travel.state.gov for a heads up on safety many scammers

use labeled cabs only never share cabs

buy your own drinks watch them mixed

leave expenive elctronics at home and insuremytrip.com wise

Most important question, how long are you in Cuba? There's so much to see there.

Caribbean is not like Europe, where you can cross countries in hours, you lose a lot of travel time. So if there for only 1 week, I say stay put.

I have 3 weeks all up, so thoughts where 2 weeks in Cuba, 4 days somewhere else and a couple in the states.

I have been to cancan and seen all the ruins on the Mexican coast. Thanks all for your replies.

Cheers
