SEAWEED IN NORTH CAICOS BEACHES?????

Hi everyone: I'm new to this board and was just wondering if anyone has ever been to North Caicos (TCI). I will be leaving in about 4 weeks and was curious as to how the water is on the North side of the island. Particularly Whitby beach...is there seaweed or is the water super clear, I hear it's like a bath!

Thanks so much

Hi Suzy
Sorry I haven't been to North Caicos but I note that you are new so have some suggesions which hopefully will help. Have you used the search funcion at the top of the page? Just type in North Caicos and all the posts relating to that will come up. You may not find out about seaweed but you will find plenty other information!
Just to help a little more- when you write everything in capitals it is seen as "shouting" and may put people off reading your post!( silly I know , but true)
I hope you get the information you need. Have a great time!

Sorry, I don't have an answer but another question. Maybe someone can help us both.

Is seaweed seasonal? Are certain months worse? I'm going to Nassau this fall and have read reports of a lot of seaweed at Cable Beach and other reports of none.

Thanks.

We went to North Caicos 4 years ago. I know exactly where you are staying and it is unbelievable. The water is beautiful and clear as it can be. There was no seaweed. My husband and I would love to go there. It is as remote as it can possibly be. We rode a little scooter and everyone would come out of there house to see who was zooming by, especially little children. Be prepared to just lay out on the beach, because there is nothing else you can possibly do unless you leave the island. Enjoy!!
