I have narrowed down a trip for next December to Scrub Island Resort and Turks and Caicos. I am fairly particular about a resort feeling luxurious but that said my budget is not limitless. When looking at TC I think I like West Bay, a studio room would run about $2000 for the week. But also think some other resorts look really nice too. Anyone have some advice? Also, we keep going back and forth from TC to BVI's. I found a somewhat reasonable deal to Scrub Island Resort that included breakfast and lunch. But I am a little nervous about some of the reviews of the resort. Also, is it expensive to sight see in this area? If we ultimately choose BVI's we'd like to see the Baths and some other great sights too.
We are also slightly considering the Body Holiday in St. Lucia but not sure if it will be in the budget.

I'm not so sure about scrub island. I've never been (since it's was developed). The beach looks like it's had some manmade help, and they seem to market it as much for the yachting contingent. What about Peter Island?

I was just doing some research on Turks & Caicos and Parrot Cay has a promotion (go to offers section on their website). We are thinking of going there for our honeymoon in June and you pay 5 nights for 7 and it knocked the price from $5,400 to $3,200 for the ocean view room. Also non motor water activities are included, however, their private activities are pretty pricey. Looks like a beautiful secluded place too
