Sapphire Beach or Sapphire Beach Resort? In any case, there are amenities in the way of chairs, umbrellas etc. for guests of the resort.

Tuxedocat has it correct, the Sapphire Beach resort, which fronts the right 2/3 of the beach, has chairs for guests. Don't remember seeing umbrellas when I was there in March. There is also a dive shop which provides snorkel gear to guests.

The left 1/3 of the beach is next to the private condos of Crystal Cove (some of which are owned or sublet by other agencies). They also have lounge chairs for residents/renters/visitors.

It is possible you can rent chairs and/or umbrellas from Sapphire Beach Resort. Perhaps you should email the resort and ask, if this is important to you.

We stayed at Crystal Cove and spent one day at Secret Harbour, where we were able to rent chairs and an umbrella - nice spot!

We did rent chairs from the resort although we were not staying there. Just walk through the front doors through to the beach..a guy out there will rent them to you for $6..you can't miss the tall stack of chairs near the cabana..we stopped at a dive shop in town and asked what beach they recommended..they sent us to Sapphire..3 young guys from Calif that owned the dive shop..really nice and helpful. Have fun.

Last summer we spent the afternoon at Sapphire Beach while in port on a cruise. The resort rented us boogie boards and chairs with no problem. We also ate lunch at the hotel. Nice beach--very calm, though. No boogie board action that day!

Hello Tess! If you are looking for waves in St. Thomas go in the winter and carrott Bay on the Northside is good for surfing TYortola also has good waves in the winter. Just be careful because the water can get rough.
