Sandals Ocho Rios/Dunn's River/St. Lucia??
Hi everyone! I'm trying to figure out the best place for my fiancee and our families to go for our destination wedding this December/New Year's. We've narrowed it down to these three places, but are having difficulty differentiating between all of them. Any suggestions? We'd like a laid back atmosphere with plenty of choices of activities to keep everyone in our party (ages 25-55) happy. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

We honeymooned at sandals ocho, visited sandals dunns for the day, and then 18 months later vacationed at sandals halycon and visited sandals st lucia for the day. In jamaica, we preferred ochos rios, as the gardens and grounds were prettier and more romantic. Likewise in st lucia for similar reasons we preferred halycon over the larger golf and spa resort (halycon was smaller, more intimate and laid back while the golf resort was huge, more active and 'glitzy' and more crowded).

Ochos is similar to halycon. Dunns is more similar to st lucia. For a laid back time with lots of activities, i would recomment ochos or halycon.

see www.tropictravelonline.com for lots of sandals info.

Hi!
Just got back from Beaches Grande Sport in Ocho Rios and it was great. Has plenty of activities and you have to be 16 or older to go there,so that works for you. The food was great and the staff couldn't be nicer. We asked for an upgrade and ended up with a villa with a semi-private plunge pool. I have kids 16 and 19 and they loved it.Good Luck on your decision.

We have been to them all,I think your best bet would be Dunns River. Very active resort. St.Lucia is a very beautiful resort one of our favorites but not alot of activites. Ocho Rios has beautiful gardens one of the prettiest.email me if you like I will send you an excursion sheet for some ideas.
