Hello,

We're a 22 year old couple thinking of going to Sandals Inn during the 50% off season. The cheapest room will cost about 1500. Just wondering, how does it compare to other all-inclusive resorts that will cost 1500 in the off-season? Is Sandals just a brand name, or is it going to be much better than the other $1500 resorts?

Also, how far in advance should we book - I know it only has 52 rooms, so I can see it booking fast... But since we're going in January, I can also imagine it booking up rather slowly.

Does that $1500 include just the room and the AI package, or does that also include airfare?

I've never booked a Sandals vacation but I stayed at the one in Antigua briefly for a friend's wedding, and I also did research for booking a trip for my husband's daughter & son-in-law who wanted an AI vacation. As I recall from that online research several years ago, Sandals Inn isn't even on a beach--it's across the street from one, and not a particularly nice one at that. The whole place looked really dated on that website.

For what it's worth, January is technically considered high season, so it should book up faster then than at low season, but there are times in January when it is slower than others--between January 6 and MLK day, for example.

I'm not at all a fan of the Sandals brand, and I think if you want an all-inclusive that there are better bargains to be had out there. That being said, I don't have personal experience with any of them so I'll leave those suggestions to others. In general, though, you'll get more bang for your buck in Mexico.

Sandals Inn is a good value because you can use the other 2 Sandals resorts Sandals MB and Sandals Royal Caribbean free. Most people do that its a way to see all 3 resorts for less $$$. Sandals Inn has no beach you have to cross the street to enjoy the beach. But Sandals MB has a great beach so go enjoy theres. Sandals Inn a very small resort but nice the staff gets to know you by name. The food is good ! But not many places to choose from so do the other resorts. Overall for the money a good value.

we're really not sure what to make of the Inn... the pictures at it's website look nice, but some user-submitted pictures don't look so good.

$1500 for two people for one week in January? That's a very good deal.

As Kimberly noted, you do get guest privileges at the other Sandals in MoBay, so even if your own room and hotel aren't special, you'd get the full run of the other resorts.

It's not my cup of tea, but it sounds like a great price to me. If I wanted a large AI on a budget, I would consider it.

From what I've read its right at the Hip Strip, downtown. No beach...but u can take the free shuttle to the other Sandals for that.
