Great Rates at Sandals??

I looked at Sandals (Bahamas)website and they are quoting almost $3700 for 2 people/7 nights in a premium room (this is supposedly (sp?) WITH their 35% promotion

I could swear I saw on this board prices in the low $2000

Where should I be looking? Thanks!

Stop looking at sandals!!

That price sounds right. what season are you going? I researched them a lot when I got married in nassau in May, they are very high for what they offer. Compare sandals rates to the radisson cable beach (best beach on the island) radisson was excellent.

http://www.radisson-cablebeach.com/

Breezes is also nice, smaller, but great prices.

Sandals/Beaches resorts are an excellent choice. Contact a Certified Sandals travel agent to get the berst prices. Get a few quotes. I'm sure you can do better than the price you quoted.

Tabathaook at the awards Sandals always wins, year after year. That tends to hold a lot more weight than the occasional Sandals basher here on Fodors. They have the highest return visitor rate of any AI in the Caribbean.

Jack - I booked my weddingmoon for Sandals Antigua. My friend was a travel agent and suggested it so I went with it without doing any research. Then I started my research. I read all the Sandals bashing and it had me worried. But we had the time of our lives! We loved it, and are planning on visiting one of their other resorts. If you would like to go to Sandals, please do. We had not one complaing when left.

As far as the good deals, try these sites:
http://www.all-inclusive.com/newsite/index.cfm

http://www.allinclusivedeals.com/

http://www.vacmart.com/ct/bargains.cfm?i_id=

I haven't tried these personally but these sites were given to me from someone that has visited 7 Sandals resorts. She uses these to book. Good luck and enjoy your vacation!!

Dave, I really dont know about return visitors to sandals. Most people I know that went there, was because they didnt know any better, they just saw the ads.

They are way overpriced for their all-inclusive, many well known resorts offer much more for much less. I am not bashing sandals, but rather stating before you chose sandals (especially if you are concerned with $$) look around, you can find way more for your buck!
