Sandals Concierge - Is it worth the money

Possibly going to a Sandals this year. What exactly do you get when you select a concierge room? Is it worth the extra money? Do you get a better room in general?

Just curious.

I don't have a clue why people pay the extra money. Yes, your room is better as you get a sitting area and an upgraded amenity kit, a bar, robes and a NY Times fax. However, if you stop and think about it:
1.How much time do you spend sitting in your room?
2.The beds aren't any better
3.The amenity kit upgrade isn't much better. They put it in your room ahead of time, but big deal!
4.The one time we did use this level, we were not impressed with anything in the bar and didn't use it anyway. You can sit in any of the bars and drink for free and enjoy the rest of the resort. You can sit at home and drink and save the airfare.
5.We never even got the terry robes
6.The faxes may or may not ever come. We got them two days out of seven.
We always stay at better than the "Deluxe" level as we prefer better than a "garden" view, but that's as far as we go.

We stayed in a concierge level room and we stated while we were there that the concierge service isn't worth it. We stayed there a week and didn't realize until 2 nights before we left that you were supposed to use the concierge to book your dinner reservations, they have slots open for concierge guests that wouldn't be for guest who aren't concierge level.

We mainly used the in room bar for the bottled water. We ran out of bottled water so I called the concierge and asked for bottled waters, I was told that the drink cart would be around soon. So I had to wait on them to get around to my room? I paid extra money and can't even get bottled water brought to my room?

The only thing good about it was the view from the room. I can say, that is worth the extra money.

What is the price to stay for a week concierge and non-concierge?
