Someone above said wheretostay is the "most informative". Well here's a message from their webmaster to someone who asked a question about a villa there<BR><BR>"I did edit you original message because you mentioned that you were thinking about renting the villa from one of our competitors. I found it ironic that you would use WhereToStay.com for advice and research then go to one of our competitors to rent your villa. WhereToStay.com rents villas to support the web site. Our villa rentals are increasing so that we will be opening an office in St. Thomas the first week of November. Please consider supporting our site by renting from WhereToStay.com."<BR><BR>How informative!!! It goes to show you can't trust those villa review sites that also advertise villas like wheretostay and caribbeanonline.<BR>

Lenore, most posts that don't get replies have very poor subject lines. People read subject lines such as, "Help me" and they don't even bother opening up the message text to see what it's about. Always indicate the island or country you want information about in the subject line and give as much detail as possible. In that way, people can quickly scan your question and will answer if they can. If the subject line is very vague, they haven't got time to read it to see if they MIGHT know how to help you. Other times, it's just that your question has been asked too often and there is a history you could search OR your question is very specialized and only a few people would know the answer. Your subject line this time was very good....what were you asking before? Maybe look back to see if it could be re-worded.

Traveltalkonline.com is very active on St. Martin, Southern Caribbean, Worldwide Travel, Jamaica, Caymans, etc. Most activity is on St. Martin but they have quite a few active boards now and if you ask a question it will be answered.<BR><BR><BR>You don't say where you are traveling to. For DR or Playa, try playaguide.com. For Aruba, visitaruba.com. Also http://www.caribbean-on-line.com/ is a very good one because it has most of the islands.<BR><BR>The contributors on those boards are very professional and full of information. You won't see the bickering on those forums, especial on traveltalk like you see here.

Sorry about the incorrect spelling in my above post. It was supposed to read: www.tropictravelonline.com
