Question concerning skyauction.com
<BR>I am new to the skyauction.com web site and am hoping that a knoweledgable traveler can provide some informtion. Is there a reserve price on the trips or do they actually go for quite low prices sometimes? Also when they say number available, do they mean 2 as in 2 packages or rooms, or 2 as in 2 people may travel? Thank you in advance for your input.

Carol <BR><BR>If your eyes are popping at some of the low low prices on sky auction right now, let me warn you ... bidding in the final hour is fierce. It is rare the someone is getting a real steal on a vacation although I do think there are good bargains to be had there.

Agree with Kath, you can check the closing bids of previous auctions to get an idea of where they close. There's a lot of last minute (within final hour or half hour) bidding activity. When they say 2 available, I believe (but not certain) that it means one room as you are bidding per person double occupancy. Another auction site you may want to look into is luxurylink.com - I've bid successfully on packages there (the bid price is almost always for 2 people not per person on this site) and their service has been great. They have 2 different auction formats though so make sure you familiarize yourself first.

If you use the search function at the top of the web page, you will find there are a lot of postings from "knoweledgable traveler"s regarding Skyauction. Some good, some ok.<BR><BR>There are GREAT deals to be had on Skyauction, but you need to do your homework and read the fine print! What works for someone else may not work for you.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>

For better deals try http://auctions.wheretostay.com. They are new to auctions and do not have the activity of Skyauction. Great deals.
