Question about Four Seasons Nevis

Hello, I wanted to ask those of you who have stayed here were you automatically upgraded upon checking in?

We have had that happen a lot in the Carribean so we are hoping that might be the case this time too.

We will there in early May. Thanks in advance for any advice or tips.

Jennifer

We have been there twice. When we had the least expensive room in late April we were not up-graded. On another early Dec. visit in 2006 we had one up from from the standard and were upgraded to jr. suite or suite, I do not remember what their term was. It could have been we were return guests that did it. Wehave been upgraded at FS and Ritz when we arrive late in the day (4-6PM) though we often try to get to our destinations by 1PM so the day is not shot and on occasion have been upgraded.
But, for sure ask and if possible while other guests are not around.

It depends on how full they are or aren't. The hotel will want to give you the best experience possible. A lot of the changes are view and building oriented. Golf course/ Mt. Nevis view, ocean view, ocean front... Don't count on an automatic upgrade but be grateful if and when you get one. May isn't high season so the resort may be able to give you some options.

We didn't get an upgrade when we were there, but it never mattered. My husband thinks it's the best place we've ever stayed.

It really is awesome.

I know that this is a late posting for you but I just went back to the Four Seasons Aviara (San Diego) where I stay when visiting my parents. I got an auto upgrade. Thinking back on Stan Kase's response I asked their criteria. (it pays to ask) Since they had me in their computers as a return guest and they already had my credit card on file not only did I get an upgrade but they checked me in and had my room key waiting for me with the parking attended/bell station! This follows with Mr. Kase's experience of an upgrade on his second visit to 4S Nevis. They even asked if I liked the room enough to have it on my next visit! I travel with a pet bird and they had an apple in the room for him. They even remembered (via their computer) the animal's name.
