punta cana All-Inclusive

I like the sound of Secrets Excellence Punta Cana -- no kids, great food-- but the beach doesn't sound as nice as some others. Anyone know of a place with great food, tranquility AND a great beach/pool?

Paradisus Punta Cana. Were there spring 2004 and already booked for spring 2005. Although it does allow families, I never noticed any problems...and my tolorence level for rowdy children is pretty much nill. Check my report and let me know if you have any questions.

I was at Secrets this past June. Their beach is big and beautiful! The water is a bit rougher than some other places, but it didn't keep us out of it. It was too rough for snorkeling though. It was WONDERFUL to be on vacation with NO children around. The whole atmosphere was different. For a lot of info on Punta Cana,go to

I have to mention the Iberostar Bavaro suites. YOu have full exchange with the other two Iberostars next door and this is a big plus because you won't be out and about on this island much. The Bavaro is more deluxe than the other two resorts and the beach is to die for! Iberostars are very consistant with quality and although the Paradisus is a newer I think the Bavaro has a very nice feel to it- the buildings spaced out make it quiet and there are not as many kids as next door. Price is usually just under what you would pay at Paradisus. Consider it an option!

We also stayed at Secrets Excellence recently -it is nice not to have to contend with the younger people if that is what you are looking for. The beach is huge - you can walk for miles in either direction (off the property. If you are planning any day trips - most are at LEAST one hour away from the resort.
