Provo Construction

Can anyone give me a good idea where the construction is on Provo? Mainly along Grace Bay & area? Island-wide? We're planning a trip in August & don't want to be situated next to a lot of dirt & noise. Also, is it necessary to rent a 4x4? The main roads seem passable without, but what about side roads, etc.? Thanks.

Have you called ocean club west to ask them?

I called them yesterday and they said once side will be done in February and the other in April. The last month of construction is "landscaping"

Thanks for your replies Marlong & Steve. Let me know how it went when you get back, Marlong. Have a great trip!
I'm still interested in the necessity of renting a 4x4. Anyone?

There is ongoing construction at Alexandra resort and spa--They are fininshing up on The Palms next to Alexandra and next to the Palms they are building Sommerset which should be under roof. East of Ocean Club they are building Tuscanny. West of Ocean Club they are finishing up on Pinnacle and to the east Grace Bay Club is building 30 condos in four buildings but they should also be under roof.
To the west of Pinnacle where Allegro was they are building condos but it is far enough away that noise shouldn't be a factor. Villages of Grace Bay is under way. It is a large complex of residences shops restaurants sports fields etc. It is between the road the resorts are on and Leeward highway so again shouldn't be disturbing. Suspect the widening of Leeward Highway is about complete

No a 4 WD isn't necessary unless you plan to go to Malcoms Road Beach which in my opinion is a waste of time. Not very good snorkeling and not much there. All you get is a sore behind.
