Turks and Caicos trip: Ocean Club West or The Alexandra Resort?
Hello!
Just looking for some insight that will help me decide between these two hotels for our upcoming trip to Provo, TCI. Based on price, availability, and a few other factors, these are probably our only two choices.
Comparing the Ocean Club West and The Alexandra Resort:
1) Is one located on a "better" part of Grace Bay than the other?
2) Is one hotel closer to restaurants and/or activities than the other?
3) Any construction or other noise concerns?
Anything else we should consider?
We are two adults just looking for an amazing beach to relax on and a nice "home-base" to stay at.
Thanks in advance!

Grace Bay resort the best there for me.
Both of yours are good locations ok.
Ocean Club a bit more action probably would go for that.
Alexandra rooms smaller.
might check TA reviews on both..
Happy Hunting,

Hey there,
I contacted vrbo owners and also found these two to be the most affordable -- $149-179/night for studio oceanview at Alexandra and 1 br at Ocean Club. I read that Ocean Club West is four walkable blocks to the grocery store and that there is a free shuttle between Ocean Club West and Ocean Club East which could reduce the need for a rental car everyday. (although I don't know how far apart the Ocean Clubs are)
There are some great experts on here -- Blamona, of course, but also a handful of others who have stayed at many of these places in Provo, good luck!

If you like to snorkel, The Alexandra is walking distance to Coral Gardens. The beacfront is also great and not crowded. if you get a room in the newer building that would be preferable. OCW has a better overall location..walking distnance to restaurants, shops and grocery. Though the property is older and have heard looks a little tired.

OC has king size beds, average mattresses, not the best bathrooms.
Alexandra has queen size beds, but at least pillow top, granite, etc.
1. Grace Bay Beach is 12 miles long, all stunning! I do like beachfront at Alex a little better though.
2. All restaurants and shopping strips are in "clumps" so no 1 resort will get you to all the best. Both have decent stuff around it. I highly recommend a car to get to all the great sights and other restaurants regardless of which you end with.
3. no construction around either currently.
If price is of matter, keep in mind food is expensive once you're there, so make sure to budget for that. (think $80 for dinner with no drinks at an average restaurant.)
