Hi Emmy --
I just contacted Point Grace and was surprised and disappointed to find out they do not have any 1 BR oceanfronts available for when we are going (4/16 - 4/23) They reserved us a cottage suite but we really wanted the ocean view! Can you give me any input here? Did you see the cottage suites? I am now thinking of splitting our time between Grace Bay Club and PG so we can at least have an ocean view some of the time. What do you think?

Hi Eileen,
Sorry to hear about the oceanfront at PG. I try to get ocean fronts whenever I travel too - there is just nothing like sitting on the terrace overlooking the ocean!
While I did not see the interiors of the cottages, they appear to be very nice - just not as large. All the same amenities, a nice-sized deck, and a small kitchenette.
I've only visited Grace Bay Club on my way to dinner, so I can only give my opinion based on my short look around the pool, building, and beach ...and I would be happier at Point Grace. Just the sheer fact that the rooms and pool are newer and the beach is more private, is enough for me. PG does not have hotels on either side of its property, so there are less people around, which I really like. Grace bay Club is along the more developed side of the bay, near hotels like Club Med, Allegro.
I guess I'm just partial to Point Grace, but I can relate to your disappointment over the view. Hope something opens up for you!

Thanks, Emmy. It's hard to decide what to do, we chose Provo specifically to go to Point Grace and we are locked into those dates. It's my fault for waiting to make reservations but I didn't think it would be a problem -- guess the word is getting out! I am going to see if they can put us on a waiting list for an ocean view room or at least give us an oceanview for some of the days. Thanks for your input.
