I'm so torn. We will have three nights to spend in the BVI's (first five nights will be in St. John). We have been to Peter Island before and loved it. But I would really like to try somewhere new, and Little Dix looks great. But, for our dates the price difference is only $35 per night--and PI includes food and Little Dix doesn't. We are looking at the Oceanview rooms at PI or Premium Oceanview at LD. It's also going to be much more complicated to get back from Little Dix to the St Thomas airport since we'd be leaving on a Sunday(flying back from Tortola isn't really an option, it's more expensive and the flight times/layovers aren't very convenient). But I tend to like to try out new places rather than stay at the same resorts (we were just at PI in October). I can't make up my mind! And my husband is leaving it up to me! I share your feeling that it is always nicer to try out a new place than stay at the same resort.

That would already be a sufficent reason for me to opt for Little Dix Bay.

On the other hand, being on Virgin Gorda also provides additional, attractive options for excursions, for trying out new restaurants (at other hotels), for changing beaches every day, etc.

Lauren: You may have read my posts on Little Dix in the past. If not, maybe click on my name (or on Little Dix) and you can find them. I give a bunch of comparisons/constrasts with Caneel. We much enjoyed both Rosewood resorts (and are now trying to decide whether to go back to wonderful Caneel next year or maybe try Peter Island!
I'll be happy to offer as much detailed info as I can on LD, if you can think of particular questions you'd like answered. I"ll check back.
(I wish I could get good PI/LD comparisons.)

Little Dix prices went down, so I am about to book! I'm so excited!
