Walkable from where? There are several eating/drinking places right on the beach.

My husband and I stayed at L'Hoste 3 or 4 years ago so forgive me that I can't remember a lot of specific names. The hotel is in a good location on Orient Beach. Right next to the hotel is a small plaza with a few restaurants, shops and a convenience store. I believe there is also an ATM here, dispensing euros of course. I think we tried all of the restaurants there and they were all good.

There are also plenty of bars/restaurants along the beach that are easily walkable. Not all of them are open every evening but some were. Some of them seemed to only be open during the day.

The only meals we ate at the hotel were the included breakfasts, which were fine.

I urge you to go to Grand Case at least once or twice for dinner. Unfortunately, GC is not walkable from Orient Beach but the hotel should be able to arrange a taxi if you don't have a car. There are many, many excellent restaurants in Grand Case.

Enjoy your trip. Orient Beach is a lot of fun.

We really liked Planet Orient which is in a strip mall type area in Orient Village. Astrolabe at the Esmeralda Resort is another excellent restaurant. You really can't go wrong wherever you eat in St Martin. The meals there were always consistently good.

I wouldn't recommend walking at night due to safety concerns. We rented a car each time we were there.
