Looking for a good hotel in or around Orient Bay

I've heard that L'Hoste is awesome. Any other suggestions? Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Alizea (10 minute walk from Orient Bay) If so, was it nice?

L'Hoste is awesome. Right nearby are several other hotels: Le St.Tropez is one. There is also Club Orient, which is a clothing optional resort. The Grand Case Beach Club is in nearby Grand Case. I know Hotel Alizea but have not stayed there. Have you looked at the L'Hoste website: www.Hostehotel.com ???

Esmeralda and Alamanda receive good reviews and are both on Orient Beach. Another choice might be Le Meridien which is about a 10 minute drive from Orient. L'Esplanade Caraibe also receives good reviews and is about a 15 minute drive from Orient.

I recommend you ask about specific attributes for your lodging. What is "awesome" for someone else may be dreadful for you. I've made that mistake and experienced disappointment myself.
We stayed at L'Hoste in 97. It is right ON the beach. The Bikini Beach Bar is right in front of it. And it is about a 30 minute walk down the beach to Club Orient and about another 30 min walk the other way to the last hotel(going left) So you would be centrally located on Orient beach. There are 5 or 6 places within walking distance on the beach to have supper. We did not do much exploring...Spent most days in front of Club Orient..then grab some fresh baking and beer at Orient's little store and head back(nice store, they have a little bit of everything, food, clothing) Then spend the evening at Bikini(restaurant&Bar) or one of the other restaurants on the beach. Enjoy your trip.....

Thanks for the feedback. How does the beach at Grand Case compare? We will have a car so I'm thinking that if Grand Case is close enough to Orient Bay that may be an option?

Alizea is situated on top of a hill and has great views of Orient Beach. Have never stayed there but it always gets great reviews and the rates are very competitive. If you want the convience of being right on the beach I would recommend Club Orient. You can't beat the location as well as the people you will meet.

Stayed at the L'Hoste Hotel last year and will be going back this November. It is very clean and the staff friendly. The rooms are very large (as are the bathrooms). I highly recommend the hotel. I would also recommend renting a car.

If you have a car, staying at Grand Case is a viable option. We stay at L'Esplanade Caraibes when we go the St. Martin. It's about a 10 minute drive from Grand Case to Orient. We always liked the combination of driving to the beach, and walking to dinner (if you're planning on many meals at Grand Case, parking doesn't seem to be all that plentiful).

Enjoy your trip, wherever you stay!
