I am wondering if anyone can suggest a place to go for a "long" weekend like 4 nights. I would like a place we could take a direct flight from New York as to avoid lost time. We went to Jamaica and stayed at the Cliffs and loved it. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There are direct flights from New York to St. Maarten.

Puerto Rico, DR, Cancun, Aruba are just a few to come to mind.

St. Thomas, USVI has direct flights. San Juan, PR also a good option.

Don't know when you plan to go but just saw today that AA has a super saver fare form JFK to Providenciales for $199 Believe over the weekend of 5-6 Feb which is a good deal.

Would also recommend the Bahamas... you can fly direct into Nassau and stay either on Nassau or Paradise Island.
