Need help choosing a destination and AI
I've been reading this forum and find myself even more at a loss as to where to go. I'd love some opinions.
My boyfriend and I are looking for an AI anywhere in the Caribbean/Mexico in late April. Our two main must-haves are:
1. Excellent beach: soft, clean, white sand and beautiful water. No seaweed. Private would be nice.
2. Great food at the resort.
We're hoping to spend most of our time on the beach, relaxing and swimming.
As for cost, we'd like to keep it down to $2500 each or less. Preferably less! But I'm open to all suggestions.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

My family is going to Playa del Carmen Mexico. If you go to Cancun it will be really crowed and touristy. So we decided to go further south about 40 minutes south of Cancun. There are some really great all inclusives in playa del carmen. Check out www.resortvacationstogo.com and you can find all the all inclusive resorts wherever you want to go. There are some really good prices too.

I've been to Playa del Carmen twice and that area 8 times. We stayed at the Royal Playa del Carmen. We loved the location as it is a 5 minute walk to 5th Avenue in Playa. Other hotels to look at are Secerts Maroma that you already saw, Secrets Capri, Secrest Silversands, and the Iberostar Grand Pariso.
