Need a new vacation spot!

My and my husband are looking for a new tropical place to vacation! We like to have some nightlife, water activities and preferably somewhere that is safe to drive around so we're not stuck at the resort the whole trip. We have been to Bahamas, Aruba, turks & Caicos, Barbados, Grand Cayman and Hawaii so were are looking to go somewhere new. Would appreciate any ideas? I was starting to look into Curacao or Belize if anyone has opinions on those? We're pretty much open to anywhere. Thanks for any help!

You have the entire Antilles to explore! USVI, BVI, St Maarten/Martin and Anguilla, St Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda. Then you get down into the French and former French section with Guadeloupe, Dominica, Martinique, St Lucia then back to the English again with the St Vincent and the the Grenadines as well as Grenada. Okay I left a few of them out, too. Pick one and enjoy!!;-)

I've been to all mentioned, one of my favorites is St. John or Virgin Gorda in Virgin Islands

Open taxi to get around, gorgeous scenery, great snorkeling, fun little shopping, easy island hopping between VIs, fun little beach bars

Just returned from St. Martin and loved it. We stayed on the French side. Do you like to rent villas? If so, check out www.wheretostay.com. We thought their customer service was excellent and the villa we stayed in (Sunrise) was exceptional. We've already booked our next winter's trip!

Have been to all you mentioned except Barbados and Belize. We didn't really like Curacao that much. First, it was rather difficult to get there. We actually had to fly to Aruba and take a puddle jumper over to Curacao. There are no long stretches of beach there. Instead they are coves/inlets on the West side of the Island. You need a rental car, a good map and a lot of patience to find them or take a beach hopping tour.

We never rent a car and try to choose destinations/areas in which walking/public transportation is a good source. We love Mexico and have been many times since 2000. 5th Avenue in Playa del Carmen is a great place for nightlife. Water activities are abundant in that area also. Currently, we are planning our next trip in May to Puerto Rico. Good nightlife and food options as well as water activities.

We've been to various places in the Caribbean/Mexico. If your interested I have all our vacation photos posted. You might find an area that interests you.
