We had an amazing time in St Lucia where we rented a 2 room villa in Marigot Bay with a completely private pool. We did not like the north as it was too commercialized and arid. (this is a private site I post my travel stories, no advertising or signing in) St Lucia is a beautiful island. Rent an SUV and get around. The Saturday morning market is worth seeing as the entire island sets up shop there .

I've been meaning to respond to this. Loved your trip report. We have been to St Lucia twice but not since 2004. Sounds like alot of changes hotel wise. More importantly, I loved your site. I got lost there for a while. Wonderful trip reports. I bookmarked it for later reading. Your children are fortunate to be so well traveled.
