Just booked a vacation at Marriott in Curacao using reward points.
Have been to Aruba and thought of returning (we did love this island), but decided to go someplace different.
From message boards sounds like lots of diving in Curacao, but can't comment (we don't dive).
Also thought of Marriott in St. Thomas, Grand Caymen, and Bahamas. We decided on Curacao b/c it seemed like it might be more relaxing. We go Jun 8th.
Pictures of hotel seem lovely. All reviews I've found have been favorable.
Good Luck!

We were disappointed in the Marriott in Aruba & while we will return to
Aruba we will not go back to the Aruba Marriott. IMHO, it is about a 3 star hotel. Not in same class as Hyatt & Radisson although the 3 are generally categorized as 5 stars in Aruba. Now I should add that others rave about the Marriott in Aruba so you may want to do a search here to balance what I have said. (I am talking about the hotel. The Marriott Ocean Club timeshares in Arube are great. Maybe you can use your certificate. They are south of the hotel.)

Definitely the Aruba Marriott is an awesome place to go. It is very romantic with a waterfall in the swimming pool. My husband and I went there 3 times in 2 years and will be returning this October for our 4th trip. We had such a wonderful experience that nothing else compares.

Aruba has enough to keep you busy for a week especially if this is your first time. Lots of snorkeling sights, etc. Must rent a 4X4 jeep and explore the rugid island. It is awesome!!

Went with another couple to Aruba last June and stayed at Marriott Resorts. We just loved it and are planning another trip in the near future. The hotel was beautiful and very clean, the Italian restaurant was wonderful. We had a blast and would definitely recommend it to everyone! Not to mention the waterfall and swim up pool bar in the pool-just breathtaking! We had the time of our lives on the island!
