Mt. Liamuiga

My husband and I will be vacationing on St. Kitts the first week in April and are interested in the Mt. Liamuiga volcano hike. According to a few tour company websites, this hike is rated as moderate to difficult. Anyone out there that has done this and can share their experience?

Hi

We went with Gregs Safaris last year and did a hike with our four kids. It was great fun, and Greg was a great guide. We didn't do the full hike to the summit, but found the rainforest very intersting and it was an easy climb for all of us

For what it is worth we have friends who are in their late 60's that did the climb three weeks ago without any difficulty.

Thanks for your responses - that is what I wanted to hear. I had visions of us doing the hike and than not being able to walk the next day. We are late (very late) forties and in relatively good shape, so sounds like it won't be too tough. Cariblover10 - did you book the tour prior to arriving on the Island?

No, just gave Greg a call when we were there but no harm in contacting him sooner
