Moderate place to stay 1 night near Red Hook?

Hi - heading to St. John but flights get us in late. Looking for a clean, safe place to stay with A/C for one night. Planning to take the ferry from Red Hook so looking at that end. BUT open to suggestions.
Thank -
Sue
p.s. last time we stayed at Marriott with special rates but the rates are out of sight now. Not looking for that level of luxury.

If you are traveling after 4/15, check out Secret Harbour www.secretharbourvi.com as they have oceanview studios for $159/night. Another option would be staying at Sapphire Village. They advertise rates at $145/night. Both places are conveniently located near Red Hook.

You can also check out the rates for 1 night at Bolongo Bay. They cater to the AI crowd, but it's worth looking in to.

Secret Harbour is really nice and reasonably priced, for one night you probably need a studio rather than a one-bedroom. Good restaurant and only a couple of minutes away from Red Hook.

How late does your flight get in? Have you considered just staying in Charlotte Amalie and taking the ferry from there? It leaves for STJ at 9:00am. The Best Western Emerald Beach gets consistently good reviews for a place to lay your head at night and is right next to the airport.

Go with the suggestion for Secret Harbor. The ferry from Red Hook is less crowded (usually) and the resort is beautiful. A taxi can take you to the ferry dock in less than 10 minutes. Just hang that night at the Blue Moon Restaurant and bar. The food is awesome and the people are fun, relaxed, and friendly!
