Virginia,

Thanks for your good wishes. As a fellow *mainiac* you certainly understand the need for escape from this weather ;-)

Helen Reddy was the voice of many ;-) We are invincible in mind and spirit...and proudly so. But sometimes the body is not quite as strong as it used to be.

I remember watching footage of Peter Greenberg's trip to Pelican Bar I think that's when additional worries set in. But he also wasn't very adept at the zip line either. So...I think I'm a few pounds lighter than he and ready to ask for help. Now, there's a new concept for me Perhaps I'm already feeling all the good vibrations from my friends here

Stay warm Virginia ! I hope you're planning some escape for yourself !

Christie,

If you click on EJ's name and have the patience ;-)...you'll find her report about her time in Treasure Beach and her trip to Pelican Bar.

I will get there and will happily post that it was worth the effort I mean I've gotta DO IT now !

Enjoy this special holiday time with your boys. It has special magic when they are young. Many of us would like to turn the clock back...live in your moment and enjoy it.

Your time for different traditions will come

Thanks for your good wishes !

Marion

Marion,
yes..I enjoy the joy and excitement in my boys eyes at Christmas time. You are right..it is a magical time for young children.

My 3 yr old looked at me today and said "ma is it Christmas time?" it was so cute that he noticed the Christmas decorations that are already decorating the streets around here. I told him that it would soon be Christmas.

Again...have a wonderful time and I know that you will enjoy Treasure Beach..it sounds like a really neat community.

Like someone mentioned...don't forget the sunscreen...the last thing that you need is to come back with a bad sunburn!

Oh, Marion, I hope you find the TB community to be as warm as we did last January--in every sense of the word. I can't tell you how much the Pelican Bar is worth the effort for climbing the ladder to get there. It's quite sturdy, but the rungs are narrow. I have full confidence in your abilities to climb UP. CLimbing DOWN after a few libations might be another issue, but then again, it would be just as easy to just jump in the water to get down, so no worries there, either.

I'm sure that the local kids will find you just as enchanting as you will find them. Enjoy!
