Luxury family resorts with villa type accommodations - all-inclusive?

I will have three months inbetween jobs and am looking to take my family to the Caribbean during this time. We are a family from NYC. In addition to myself and my wife we have three kids: a four year old, and two 6 month old boys (twins).

We are hoping to hunker down for 2 to 3 weeks at a luxury resort in the Caribbean - but given the twins are so young, we absolutely cannot deal with lengthy meals. Rather we are looking for a resort that offers either an all-inclusive buffet type package (allowing us easy grab-and-go food options) or perhaps a chef service, or possibly just a nice kitchen where we could cook for ourselves. Basically it's hard to do much of anything with the twins so I'm hoping to find the kind of spot where the beach, pool, etc are all directly in front of my own private villa.

Let's say budget is $1500 per night max.

Direct flight from NYC is ideal.

Villa with private pool, short walk to everything is ideal. Two bedrooms is sufficient. Kitchen is required.

I've stayed at the Goldeneye (Jamaica) in the past and I loved their 3 bedroom beach villas. However the resort does not suit our needs for easy food options. I've also been to the FS Nevis but the flight + boat situation will be a hassle with the kids. And I've been to Peter Island resort and Little Dix Bay (Virgin Gorda), both of which are too difficult to get to. I prefer this kind of understated luxury to over-the-top mega resorts.

Looking for options. I want easy food options, but don't want the all-inclusive vibe, if that makes any sense. I'm willing to do something cheesy if we have a bit of privacy in our own villa. Appreciate any tips. thank you!

The combination of an "all inclusive buffet" with your desire for "villa type accommodations" is going to be a limiting factor, however, if you are willing to settle for a resort that has a number of different food options (but not necessarily an "all Inclusive buffet" there are a number of "luxury resorts" with "villa type" accommodations which are great for families that come to mind. So check out:

Jumby Bay or St. James Club, Antigua
Cap Juluca or Four Seasons (formerly Viceroy), Anguilla
Casa De Campo, Dominican Republic
Sandy Lane, Barbados (they offer multi-BR suites w/kitchens as well as villas)
Amanyara or Parrot Cay, Turks & Caicos

Lastly, don't give up just yet on Four Seasons, Nevis - if you are willing to take a connecting flight via San Juan you can fly directly into Nevis on either Seaborne Airlines or Tradewind Aviation. The resort is just a short 10 minute drive from the airport.

If you are willing to rent a car and/or cook for yourselves, look at some of the condo/resorts on Providenciales in Turks and Caicos.

We always stay at The Venetian, a luxury resort on the quiet end of Grace Bay Beach.

The Venetian has three bedroom suites, each with their own ensuite bathroom, plus another half bath in the hall, a gorgeous kitchen, washer/dryer, and screened in porch fronting Grace Bay Beach.

The beach-- voted no. 2 in the world recently in Travel and Leisure-- is literally steps from your condo. So is the pool which is in the back of the hotel to take advantage of shade.

There's no restaurant on site, but this year, Ocean Club East ( two doors down) started providing beach service for lunch and drinks.

A huge American style grocery store ( though expensive!) is within ten minutes of The Venetian.

Of course there are tons of restaurants a short drive from the hotel. And many of them are family friendly and easy.

The Venetian ( and its sister property, The Tuscany) both attract a lot of families, especially in the summer vacation months.

The flight is only 3 hours from JFK on Jetblue or Delta ( from Newark, I think). Most resorts are about a ten minute drive from the airport.

So a very easy trip, which is why it's become our new go-to place when we want great weather and some understated luxury!

This home looks amazing. I believe you can even have a chef with the package, or groceries stocked for you.

There are lots of lodging choices at The Buccaneer. We stayed in their oceanfront deluxe suites and loved this mid-sized resort. Excellent service. Good good.

Beaches Resort in T&C has a couple of villas right on the beach, and quite a few townhomes a block back--comes with everything Beaches

Half Moon in Jamaica has meals included with a few free standing villas (some come with chef and cook for you!)

Windjammer Landing on St. Lucia also might work for you. They have 2-4 bedroom suites/villa accommodations with kitchens and they also offer an all-inclusive package if you want it. Some come with a private plunge pool and some are right on the beach.

I haven't stayed there so I can't personally recommend it. I knew they offered all-inclusive for families, which there don't seem to be a whole lot of. You may be able to get a direct flight to St. Lucia from NYC.
