Looking for great all inclusive

My husband and I are ages 29 and 30. We are looking for a nice all inclusive resort with great beaches. We have previously been to Sans Souci in Ocho Rios. We heard that Negril has better beaches. Can you please recommend a good resort, which isn't going to have rowdy people, preferably no kids and kind of upscale atmosphere. We don't really want to leave the resort, just hang by the pool/beaches. We are interested in going nov. 27 for 5-7 nights and are in Indianapolis. We would like to spend up to $2,500 for accomodations and airfare. Please give us your recommendations. Thanks.

I stayed at Secrets Excellence in Punta Cana this past summer. It is an all inclusive, adults only resort. The beach is great, but the water is a bit rough. We went in the ocean every day, but it's not good for snorkeling. Try booking through Apple Vacations. There are also Secrets resorts in the Riviera Maya in Mexico.

Do you definitely want to go to Negril? If you do, and you like all inclusives and don't care about leaving the resort, Sandals Negril is nice. The beach is/was awesome. Don't know what the hurricane did but think Negril was hit. There is really nothing to do off the resort at night and a few day trips We also like AI and would be interested in hearing from others as well about new places. One thing I'm not sure of if that it would meet your price range. You can look at sandals.com and watch for specials though. That is how I book (bargain watch ) and never through the Sandals site. A very good travel agent for travel to Sandals and Beaches resorts is Twinsburg travel. Can't remember their website off hand but if you do a search for Twinsburg travel you will find a link.

"There is really nothing to do off the resort at night "

....just htought I'd respond to that...there's live music at at least one beach bar every night, often at more than one. If you don't like live music there are a TON of restaurants, bars....at least two discos, one outdoor one indoor.

All in Negril.

There is always something to do in the beach area of Negril. Try going to www.negril.com to check out their message board & also the places to go. Many of those board members meet up while in Negril & have a great time. Another site to check is www.tropictravelonline.com. Many people post trip reports & pictures of the different resorts. Just do a search for Negril when you get there.

We thought about Couples Swept Away in Negril & it seemed really good from all the posts I saw. People really liked the food which is important because many AIs have food like assembly lines. There are other places in different price ranges that might also work.

Sorry about the bad info about night life, it has been a few years since we traveled to Negril. Also, I'm sure most of the bigger resorts have entertainment as well.
